These one-of-a-kind vintage, wool rugs are handwoven and collected from Anatolia, Turkey. They are put through a series of washes to extract most of the colour, and then re-dyed using natural pigments. The finished effect after over-dying is unique to each carpet. What makes them so beautiful is that the original pattern remains, still retaining the essence of its original design, with the over-dyed effect creating a solid colour with dimension. A vintage traditional carpet has now been given a new lease on life and has become a contemporary work of art.
