Originally from northern India, these 80-year-old trunk pots have been crafted from a solid piece of hollowed teak. They were once used to store oil and were sometimes taken on the back of a cart to markets far and wide. They celebrate the undeniable beauty of natural timber and allow the grain of the wood to remain their focal point. They sometimes show simple hand carvings unique to the family or farmer to which they belonged. Place anywhere in your home and fill with palm fronds, dried cotton or large sprays of fresh foliage.
