It was in Rajasthan, a state in India’s north, that this beautiful vintage almirah was salvaged. It tells the story of British Colonial influence upon the traditional cabinet makers of the region, who began fusing the old with the new. It was crafted from solid teak and its doors intricately carved by hand. What sets this piece apart, however, is its original paintwork in a bright, blue hue, which has now been polished in a natural wax to ensure its longevity.
