Almirahs, both big and small, were a staple piece in almost all Indian households. Originally from Gujarat, this vintage piece is over 60 years old. It was salvaged from a rural haveli of the region and may have been used to house fresh produce, seasonal grain or piles of folded kantha. It was handcrafted from solid teak, fitted with glass panels and polished in a natural wax to protect its remaining original paintwork.
