Business Development and Sales Manager

With Head Office currently based in Huskisson NSW (moving to South Nowra late 2023), Indigo Love is a furniture and homewares business, known for its curated collection of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, and unique product ranges. Our collection is a mix of old and new and includes our own imported antiques from India, China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Turkey.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Business Development and Sales Manager to join our team in the furniture and homewares industry. The primary role of the Business Development and Sales Manager is to drive business growth and develop strategic partnerships within the industry. This will include identifying new sales opportunities, building relationships with clients and partners, and developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners in the furniture and homewares industry, including property developers, real estate agents, and the boutique hotel industry.
  • Identify new sales opportunities within these target markets and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, market opportunities, and potential competitors in these target markets.
  • Analyse sales data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimise sales performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities targeted to these markets.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and other networking opportunities to build relationships and promote the company to these target markets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development and sales in the furniture and homewares industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales revenue growth.
  • Client and partner satisfaction ratings.
  • New sales opportunities identified and pursued within the property developer, real estate agent, and boutique hotel industries.
  • Sales pipeline growth and conversion rates within these target markets.
  • Market share growth and competitive positioning within these target markets.

Remuneration is negotiable depending on the experience of the applicant.
