ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: VICTORIA WILSON
"I want someone who is looking at my art to feel an emotion and energy, which has been translated through the strokes of my brush, to bring life to the room that becomes its home. Emotions are fleeting but in my art they become a time capsule."

The collection will be exhibiting across our Few and Far Store Store Locations.

Painting is a place of freedom where I can watch and channel my children's innocent lack of inhibition. It has become a way of life for me and I paint like its a ritual, at the same time every day.

Featured Art:

Lost in You , Four Seasons

I focus on medium and large scale canvas because I paint intuitively and can be quite expressive and need the space! I work with acrylic, ink, oil pastels and collage, often working on several pieces spread out across the floor at the same time.

Featured Art:

VICTORIA WILSON

Victoria Wilson is an Australian abstract artist who creates large-format abstract floral works that
draw inspiration from grief and the process of healing. She grew up in Sydney and studied Design and Visual Communication at the University of Technology Sydney before being selected to go on exchange to one of the greatest design schools in the world, Central Saint Martins in London.

She then forged a career as a creative director in experiential design, living in London and New York, and creating world-class experiences for some of the world's leading companies such as Google and Oprah. During this time Victoria refined her fine art practice by studying under Frank O’Cain at the Art Students League of New York. After her father suffered a serious pedestrian traffic accident, Victoria’s life changed forever. As part of the process of addressing her grief and with a goal of turning it into some gold, Victoria expresses her sadness, pain, joy and growth through the medium of painting canvas, typically on the floor. During this process she freely captures her true state of being and invites the viewer to feel the same energy and vibrations of the moment themselves.

Her artwork is both grand in scale and contains minute detail. Each work is typically painted in a combination of acrylic, Japanese ink, foil and oil pastels.

Victorias work can be seen in Whitewalls Art Gallery in Berrima, in the Southern Highlands of Sydney, as well as locally at Palmer and Penn a beautiful Interiors store in Double Bay. She has exhibited in a number of exhibitions including The Affordable Art Fair in Sydney 2024 and The Other Art Fair 2021. Victoria is thrilled to now be showing with Few and Far Home.
