Jervis Bay...why would you want to anywhere else? It's paradise here.

Danny and I have traveled the world sourcing and searching for magical places, people and treasures, but it's always so nice to come home. Don't get me wrong, the travel and exploration is addictive, and we love it (even though we are always on such a tight schedule... note to self: sort this out before planning our next trip!), but sometimes I can't help but think we keep trying to source out these beautiful destinations, when what we have right on our doorstep already compares to some of the most breathtaking beaches in the world.

I've been thinking about travel a lot lately. Maybe it's because since we've had Jonah, I haven't really been able to go with Danny (although Jonah does have his passport now, so the next trip may be a completely new experience!). It's been nice having a bit of a break from it though to be honest. I do miss it, but I don't miss it when I'm skyping with Danny who's half way around the other side of the world, tired, hungry and completely worn out and jet lagged. Our trips are always quick. We're always so busy and there's always so much to do, so we try and cram everything into a few days (literally a few days!) so we can get back home to tend to everything else that needs to be done! That's part of the reason we haven't taken Jonah yet... I would hate to drag the poor little guy around the world in less than a week! And I don't know how I would cope with that either with an 8 month old!

So, this year, we are planning more overseas trips (buying and sourcing of course, we've got some BIG ideas in the pipeline) but hopefully a little more relaxed (we're a family now, so things have to change!). But as well as these trips, we're planning on holidaying at home... hopefully a lot! There's nothing more magical and uplifting than taking the boat out in Jervis Bay on a still day. It's paradise. These days really make us appreciate where  we live and how lucky we are. The water is so crystal clear and that beautiful aqua colour, against the bright almost pure white sand. Jervis Bay has so much to offer! You'll have to come and experience it for yourself!
