Vynka was raised in a very creative environment; and as a self-taught artist, was always encouraged to follow creative pursuits at home and began drawing in charcoal at a young age.
Originally from Perth, Vynkas and her husband have been overseas for a while, but now are based in Cronulla, Sydney.
Vynka's works celebrate a quality which exaggerates colour and perspectives, intentionally exposing brush marks and paint drips to show signs of the hand made and contribute to the visual environment of the works, believing there is an honesty in the imperfect.
