Accounts & Administration Assistant


Company Overview:

Indigo Love/Few & Far, an established and growing furniture and homewares company located on the NSW South Coast is seeking a dynamic and organised individual to join our team as an Accounts and Administration Assistant. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the success of our finance and administrative operations.


Position Overview:

The Accounts and Administration Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our finance and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable and payroll, combined with excellent organisational and administration skills. While industry-specific experience is not mandatory, a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to tasks are essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable:

   - Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.

   - Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related queries.

   - Maintain organised records of accounts payable transactions.


  1. Payroll:

   - Assist in the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.

   - Collaborate with the HR department to address payroll-related inquiries.

   - Maintain confidentiality and compliance with payroll regulations.


  1. General Finance:

   - Contribute to month-end processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.

   - Work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.


  1. Administration:

   - Provide administrative support to various departments, incl. filing, data-entry, & document management.

   - Assist in the coordination of office activities and events.


  1. Organisational Skills:

   - Implement and maintain efficient filing systems for financial and administrative documents.

   - Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

   - Contribute to the overall organisational effectiveness through effective time management.



   - Proven experience in accounts payable and payroll functions.

   - Strong organisational and administrative skills.

   - Proficient in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

   - Preferred experience with Xero accounting software, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.

   - Ideal but not essential: Exposure to Deputy HR software and Cin7 Core Inventory Management software

   - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

   - Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
