Well it seems we always have something on the go… we have just returned from a trip to India, where, yet again, we have another full 40ft container arriving before Christmas (well fingers crossed anyway!). It was a quick trip, but very fruitful. We have loads of new furniture pieces, more one offs and an assortment of some really amazing finds. I can’t wait to get it all back here and to show you!
We were lucky enough to experience a few cultural events this time… one of them being the Holy Festival, where everyone throws powdered coloured dye over themselves (and everyone else!)… Danny and I got caught in the thick of it, and ended up a multi coloured mess! The key is to not get wet – once water mixes with the dye, then your clothes and skin will be stained forever! It was loud, fun and definitely an experience. Everyone was so happy, dancing and yelling and riding tractors, trucks and carriages being pulled by the occasional mistreated horse (which really put a bit of a dampner on the whole day)… other than that it definitely made our day even more interesting!
As last time, we will photograph everything as it arrives and post the images onto Facebook – so if you haven’t ‘liked’ us already it would be great if you could, that way you will be the first to know the latest in what’s arrived, what’s new and what’s coming… Also keep in mind that our warehouse is CHOCKABLOCK full of furniture and treasure, so if you’d like to make an appointment, we’d be more than happy to show you around!
