Vintage Indian Lids On Stand

$220 AUD

Reimagined to infuse your home with rustic charm, this sculptural piece was once the lid of a grain or spice box from a rural haveli in Rajasthan. Ground spices like cardamom and turmeric and harvested grain were kept and stored for months at a time, to use each evening when families were cooking fragrant and hearty meals. Now, this 80-year-old timber lid has been mounted on a slim stand and polished in a protective, natural wax. We think it would look beautiful styled atop a console table amongst shorter decorative items such as scented candles and brass trinkets.
