“Tesserae” painting explores the delicate interplay between memory and imagination, using a muted palette of blush, umber, mauve, and inky black to evoke the layered sensation of moments passing — fragments of experience that feel both familiar and elusive. The title references the tiny pieces of mosaic that come together to form a whole, reflecting the work’s concept of assembling fragments of time and emotion.
