Originally the Messe Vase, a sculptural ceramic vessel defined by intricate, overlapping tiers and a strong architectural form. Gonia reimagined the Messe Vase using acrylic paint, allowing colour and painted marks to move across its deeply textured surface.
Part of RE/CRAFTED, an exhibition bringing together ten artists to transform familiar pieces from our collection through their individual creative practices.
