1. Brand Journey: How long have you been a part of the Few & Far family, and what initially drew you to the brand's philosophy of 'collected living'?
I started working at Few & far in November last year. I worked at Thirroul for a couple of weeks which was great, and then I helped to set up and open the store here at Rosebery. What drew me to the Few & Far brand and philosophy is that I am a collector and very drawn to the vintage and the timeless in both my interior projects and my home. I have always admired the F&F stores and the Indigo Love Collectors brand for their expertise in combining these in their stores, as well as the quality and craftsmanship of the product.
2. The Rosebery Vibe: What do you genuinely love about coming to work at the Rosebery Engine Yards precinct?
I love the feel of the Engine Yards building and how they have retained the history, adding in beautiful landscaping, skylights and communal spaces. I really appreciate how they have kept the original timber beams and rafters, the original brick exterior and I feel it works really well with the Few & Far brand. There is a great buzz here, which is definitely growing as more people are learning about the Engine Yards.
3. Current Favourite Piece: If you had to choose one item from the current collection to take home—a true foundational piece—what would it be, and what story does it tell?
My favourite piece from the new collection is the Alfie in chai. The colour is sublime, I love the texture and how comfortable and spacious it is. It's called a 1 seater but it's actually like a 1.5 or 2 seater, perfect for my 2 daughters to cozy up in.
4. Best Styling Advice: What is your number one piece of styling advice for a customer who is trying to anchor their space or transition their home from one season to the next?
My advice for styling would be to choose pieces you love, trust your instinct and take your time with your choices.
Choose timeless over fashion.
5. Hidden Gem: Since the Engine Yards are such a design hub, what is one unexpected pleasure or insider tip you recommend to customers making a day of their visit?
There is alot to choose from here! You can spend a day weaving around the Engine Yards discovering great interior stores, fashion boutiques and many cafe's. My favourite coffee is Substation, on the park a few moments from the showroom.
1. Brand Journey: How long have you been a part of the Few & Far family, and what initially drew you to the brand's philosophy of 'collected living'?
I’ve been with the F&F team coming up to one year. What drew me to the Few and Far brand is their unique product offering. It’s the combination of old and new that tells a beautiful visual story that really inspires me.
2. The Rosebery Vibe: What do you genuinely love about coming to work at the Rosebery Engine Yards precinct?
I love the buzz of The Engine Yards. It’s such a vibrant, energetic hub – and the building itself has so much character to it. The original timber beams are pretty special and tell a story of what once was.
3. Current Favourite Piece: If you had to choose one item from the current collection to take home—a true foundational piece—what would it be, and what story does it tell?
The Nomad coffee table. This is such a special piece. It’s really organic in form and feels quite sculptural with its unique hammered timber finish. I can see this working in so many styling applications. This is a real standout for me.
4. Best Styling Advice: What is your number one piece of styling advice for a customer who is trying to anchor their space or transition their home from one season to the next?
Invest in your larger, timeless hero pieces that will anchor your space – for example, your sofa, dining table, rug, etc. Never underestimate the power of a rug! A rug will anchor a zone or space. Size is everything! If in doubt, bigger is always better than too small. Transitioning style through seasons can always be achieved with mixing up your soft furnishings, but the larger pieces should be chosen to reflect who you are and ideally be timeless – regardless of the season.
5. Hidden Gem: Since the Engine Yards are such a design hub, what is one unexpected pleasure or insider tip you recommend to customers making a day of their visit?
I try to make time to pop my head into the other lifestyle brands in the complex, Saardé and Inartisan, just around the corner from us. The experience of moseying through the walkway with the natural light and plants before you head into the store gives off a lovely energy.
Our Rosebery showroom is the ultimate expression of our purpose: to ignite an appreciation for creativity, craftsmanship, and thoughtful interiors. We invite you to experience the ultimate design destination in Sydney and find the timeless, high-quality furniture and homewares that will complete your home’s story. Whether you are a homeowner curating your first space or a stylist sourcing for a luxury project, the Rosebery Engine Yards offers everything you need in one beautiful location.
